On this Thanksgiving, I can’t help but think back to the moment my life changed in the best way possible, forever. Two years ago yesterday, my husband and I went on our first date! We went to Fires of Brazil, a restaurant I suggested, not knowing the tab would come up to over $100 but I guess Rick thought I was worth it and the hefty bill didn’t deter him!(= Four months later, we got engaged. Five months later we got married and now…we’re all ready to celebrate another THANKSgiving with each other! Let’s all count our blessings today and remember that even when we think we’ve got them all down, there are still many more we have to remember!
HAPPY, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
for the beauty of the skies,
for the love which from our birth
over and around us lies,
Lord of all to thee we raise
this our hymn of grateful praise!
For the joy of human love,
brother, sister, parent, child,
friends on earth, and friends above,
for all gentle thoughts and mild,
Lord of all to thee we raise
this our hymn of grateful praise!
For the Bride that evermore
lifteth holy hands above,
offering up on every shore
this pure sacrifice of love,
Lord of all to thee we raise
this our hymn of grateful praise!
~ Folliot Sandford Pierpoint, 1864

Susanna…What a change a couple of years can make in a life. Still waiting on Rick’s reimbursement to me for eharmony…
How long had you two known each other? Congrats! I love to hear of short courtships!
