Apartment #5

Micah’s bedroom

Some color ideas so far…

Large kitchen with more area not pictured

In almost 4 years of marriage, Rick and I have lived in our share of apartments. Today or tomorrow, we’ll be officially moving into our fifth apartment…the biggest so far…nice to be moving up!

Aside from the 80s green carpeting throughout the place, we are very excited about all the possibilities that exist here to make a fresh new home. More than anything, we’re excited about the 2 bedrooms plus large finished basement area, all the closets for storage, our OWN washer and dryer (pure luxury by New York standards!)1q and the back yard area. Plus, as a bonus, we’ll be right smack next door to some friends from church!

So, we have Ellie and a few days later, are in the midst of a big move…no rest for this little growing family!

Now, anyone have suggestions on how to work around the green carpet as we decorate? It will interesting and we will have to use much creativity and imagination to make them blend in. Obviously, they will make some color choices simply impossible to consider!

Congratulations on your new (and bigger) home!! Unfortunately I’m awful at decorating, so I cannot give any good advice about the carpet/colors. Will Micah and Ellie share a room? It’s going to be great to be right next door to some friends. Good luck with the move.

My advice is to go for the non- blue-green tones.!!! Excited that you will be in when I get there! Love, MOm

If at all possible use Benjamin Moor paints. They cover very well, have great colors & you can purchase sample bottles of many colors. They cost only $4 whicg is 1/3 the price of a pint. That way you can make a lot of mistakes choosing colors & only be out $25-30 in the process.Dad

neutral throw rugs! Get big ones that will cover most of the floor- the furniture should do the rest… and then paint whatever color you choose! praying for you.

I agree with Aileen, throw rugs would work wonders. It’s difficult colour to match with paint. perhaps a nice light greenish/chartreuse colour. Just stay away from red…it would look like a Christmas room. Love you.

Rip up the carpet and use cement floors…
