Saturday saw us heading to Lulu’s, a nearby toy store/children’s hair salon so that Micah could get his first “real” haircut! (Though Rick has trimmed the front of Micah’s hair a few times, it has never been fully cut so still qualified as a first). This place is small but an amazing, colorful oasis for kids…and they are even smart enough to provide movies, suckers and balloons for a child during their hair cut to keep them happy and occupied. Micah picked out an Elmo film from their array of choices, sitting contentedly for the entire 15 minutes! He impressed the stylist and I like to think it is was just as much because of pure good behavior as being transfixed with “the tube!” Now he not only has a handsome new doo but even a certificate to mark the occasion!
And to those who knew we were planning to get a Phil and Ted’s double stroller at some point, we finally took the plunge last week and bought one from Target! Until Ellie is more content out of her Baby Bjorn (as well as too heavy to carry everywhere), we’ll use it as a single stroller. After that, we’ll simply attach the double’s seat to the back and it will be ready for two! Isn’t it a beauty?:)
