No, I have not disappeared but I have been a very busy mama since Micah, Ellie and I flew to Atlanta on Saturday! Yup, that’s right…I did the entire flight with the two kiddos WITHOUT the presence of Rick and it went surprisingly well! I must say I felt quite proud of myself that Micah had no outbursts during the flight and sat content reading books, looking out the window, playing “I spy with my little eye,” eating various snacks and watching some of the movie “Hook.” Never was I so happy to see my parents though when we got to the Atlanta airport!:)
Now, we’re enjoying a busy week of visiting everyone we can! Unfortunately I do not have the cord to upload pictures with me but I do have some pictures sent to me from my friend Andria capturing our time with her and some of my other Atlanta friends on Monday. What sweet, sweet friends…I had so much fun visiting with all of them and realized how blessed I am to have godly fellowship when I am in New York and when I am in Georgia! Thank you for making a point of coming out to see us girls!
It’s been an amazing trip and what I treasure most is seeing my two babies loved on by their grandparents, aunts, uncle and cousins. Little Ellie is basking in the affection shown to her by all, her first time being seen by most of my family!
And of course, I wish my husband could be here…we miss you babe! See you Saturday!
I love NYC but there are a few things I miss about the south, including:
- Cars slow and stop with much room to spare for Ellie and I as we cross the street (her in the carrier), unlike the reckless drivers in New York who act as though they’d like to plow us down given the option.
- People wave as they drive by
- General courtesy extended with out question…doors opened for us, people giving up their place in line so we can go in front, etc.
- All the outlet malls;)
- Bluer skies
