God, You Are So Good

(No, pictures have nothing to do with the post…I simply look for any excuse to show of my babies!:)

Conversation A) To Rick on our way to church Sunday…

Me: “I wish we had a car again! It would be so nice to get out of the city for the day!”

Friend from church to Rick after church: “Hey guys! We’re going to San Fransisco for the week. Could you babysit our car for us?” (Babysit your car? Do we have to?!;)

Me: “Are you serious? I was just telling Rick it would be so awesome to have the use of a car again!”

He said we’d be serving them but I think it is the other way around. Thanks Tim and Claire!

Conversation B) After knowing we’d have use of car…

Rick: “It would be so nice to visit Barbara and Philip” (one of my dad’s very hospitable cousins and her husband. They live in a beautiful old house in New Jersey with rambling gardens, a pool, a dog that Micah loves to play with, etc).

Me: “I don’t know…we haven’t talked to her in so long. I’m hesitant to ask.”

Yesterday, I randomly get a email from Cousin Barbara asking if we can visit sometime soon! This weekend will work for them! How timely!

God, You are SO GOOD!

There’s no stopping this kid…he’s all about the next physical challenge!

My I present the new, psycho sprinkler

Of course, Micah got into it quickly!

*Disclaimer: Please excuse my frequent use of exclamation marks. I am merely excited!

That is wonderful, Susanna. So glad you can put wings to your cabin fever. Barbara has the greatest GIFT for hospitality, and the drive and scenery are exquisite. Have a great time. So glad for the times in life when God seems to shout: “you are mine and so loved. see how much!” Love ya! Thanks again for the Tea Collection t-shirt for Will!Maryanne

I love the new photos of the kids. Am also glad to hear that you’ll visit Barbara and Philip this weekend. Sure you’ll have a good time. Say hi to them for me. Did you know that I tried to call you last night around 8:30. Left a message on Rick’s phone. Will you be available tonight? I’ll try to call you again.Love, Andrew

I miss the little guys. I enyoyed being with you and Rick. Thanks for the hospitality. Hope you have fun with Barbara and Philip. Living in a heavily congested city like Brooklyn is great, provided you can escape from time to time. Just think of those 1000’s many of whom have never left the city in their life times,eg the Hasidic Jews.Love Dad
