Ordinary, Thankful

Today, I am thankful for the ordinary things in life. I am thankful we have friends visiting us so we do not have to spend Thanksgiving alone. I am thankful for things like banging around as a family, the chance to sit alone with my husband (sans kidos) and have his arm around me, cuddling with Micah, hearing Ellie say “Amen!” after prayers, having a Brooklyn Zoo membership because the kids love animals and…okay…this might sound corny but I’m thankful for “The Office.” Why am I thankful for “The Office?” Because after a busy, sometimes stressful week, it offers Rick and I some much needed laughter and as they always say, “laughter is the best medicine!:)” There are so many other things I could list but here is simply a start!

I Hope everyone can think of many things to be thankful for today and in all things, may we all remember God is the giver of all these blessings! To Him be the praise!

“Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all…Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.”

The kidos are thankful for their fish whom Micah named John:)
