Okay, so do you get my most clever pun?;) Today at Target, my potty-trained 3 1/2 year old (see my post last week on our long-in-coming accomplishment:) wanted some new briefs/undies. How could I say no when he is doing so well? So it was a choice between Elmo or Cars…he chose the most popular of Sesame Street characters. He carried them around with him and was genuinely excited about such a seemingly boring purchase!

And could I add I am still nearly jumping up and down with excitement over his accomplishment? I know I’m likely saying more than people want to know but not having to change anymore 3 year old #2s is about the best thing ever…it truly makes my life more…pleasant!:) I guess a mom’s life is truly made glad by the most simple of pleasures!

Now, some people tell me a new baby in the house may temporarily derail potty success. Oh dear…let’s hope not! He still sees Ellie wearing diapers so I think it should be fine!
