My other half on the other hand seemed to know instinctively what Micah needed and from day one, it was obvious Rick was a natural at being a daddy! With each child, I never tire of seeing their little bodies in the crook of his arm, a smile of adoration on his face. With each one, I see that smile…it tells me that you really can never “run out of love” as a parent!:) No matter the number, there’s enough to go around!

I couldn’t do this parenting thing with out Rick. He’s the calming voice in our household at the end of the day who walks through the door and diverts the children when I am frazzled. He’s the one who enjoys getting down on their level even if that means his hair and clothes are pulled as they use him for their horsey or get piggy back rides. He’s the one who often voluntarily gives them their bedtime baths and stories which means I can sit and relax with Amelia. He’s the one who has begun encouraging Micah to help him out with serving on the sound team at church, taking an enthusiastic little boy with him long before the service actually begins. Now Micah absolutely love to be part of the gang of men who set up and take down the sound equipment. It is beautiful and speaks volumes about the man his daddy wishes him to be: involved at church, responsible and helpful. Invaluable…
